Come and stay in one of our four secluded and comfortable Lumbungs (traditional native Balinese rice barns with a Filipino touch) where we make the most of outdoor living. Ideal for a family vacations, but also for honeymooners or for people that just want to relax in a quiet, private, lush tropical paradise. Your hosts have fifteen years experience in the luxury hospitality business to offer.

Treat yourself to an Alumbung villa, or cottage where luxury is affordable and have a memorable holiday away from the hustle of the cities. Located in Barangay Danao, Alona beach, in a lush tropical garden setting only 5 minutes walk from the sea and 2 minutes ride from the famous Alona beach in the island of Panglao, Island Bohol.

The Alumbungs is a small tropical garden approximately 25 minutes away from Tagbilaran and five minutes ride from the renowned Alona Beach. The special shape of the nippa roof villas is derived from the typical Balinese Lumbung structure where the upper part of each hut served as a rice barn and the bottom part as a meeting place for the family.

Philippines Cuisine Characteristics

The traditional way of eating is with the hands, especially dry dishes such as inihaw or prito. The diner will take a bite of the main dish, then eat rice pressed together with his fingers.

This practice, known as kamayan, is rarely seen in urbanized areas. However, Filipinos tend to feel the spirit of kamayan when eating amidst nature during out of town trips, beach vacations, and town fiestas.
