Polaris Beach & Dive Resort - Cabigao Island, Philippines
Bohol Diving : Bohol Islands PhilippinesLocated on Cabilao Island, in a quiet, relaxed and dreamily natural surroundings. Directly at the beach of Cabilao it offers an oasis of calmness. The Resort owns an original selection of cottages: from tree houses to rooms with air-conditioning and veranda. Each of the cottages has an unique charm to create its own ambience.

Cabilao Island
With a surface of 8 square kilometers it is one of the smaller islands in this extensive island state. It can be found in the Visayas area between the neighbour islands Bohol and Cebu approx. 2 hours boat ride from Cebu City.

Where the time seems to stand evenly still, divers will find a real paradise. Away from the crowded tourist resorts, the Visayas sea abounds with beautiful, intact marine life, a fascinating variety of tropical fish and colorful coral formations. The sea is remarkably clear with warm temperatures all year long. The conditions are superb for scuba diving and snorkeling. Snorkeling is a popular way to view the edge of the reef. Brilliantly colored schools of fish team all around in bewildering color. However, most divers will tell you that there is nothing to beat the thrill of experiencing the depth of the reef and the abounding marine life.

Philippines Cuisine History and Influences

During the pre-Hispanic era in the Philippines, the preferred Austronesian methods for food preparation were boiling, steaming and roasting. The ingredients for common dishes were obtained from locally raised livestock. These ranged from kalabaw (water buffaloes), baka (cows), manok (chickens) and baboy (pigs) to various kinds of fish and seafood. More details at Philippines Cuisine History and Influences
